Join Us for Worship

Sunday Morning Worship

Each Sunday, we gather for worship at 10:30 AM - both at the church and online via Zoom and Facebook livestream.

In the Presbyterian tradition, worship is at the heart of our life as a community. During our service, you’ll find a lot of familiar elements for a Protestant worship service, some contemplative moments of silent prayer and reflection, and often intergenerational, creative pieces of the service. We’re always up for trying something new or different, whether it’s reading poetry together, walking our labyrinth outside, or a conversational sermon that gives each of us a chance to be part of proclaiming God’s word.

When we say that All are Welcome, we really do aspire to it! All are welcome with all of who they are - race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, immigration status, and age.

All of our worship services have an ASL translator present. Our team of translators is experienced and brings accessibility and movement to the service. The translator is now working remotely and is on zoom. Please let us know if you need translation services in the church building too!

We believe that worship isn’t just for adults who can sit still. Children are welcome to stay for the service and participate as they are able (and as they want). We have a space (our “PrayGround”) in the back of the sanctuary just for our younger community members, equipped with giant stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring supplies, playdough and more (the stash is alway growing).

Communion & Conversation

Monthly Broadmead Communion

On the first Sunday of each month, we share communion at MPC (in person and virtually). Our pastor also goes to the Broadmead Community in Hunt Valley to offer a communion service with conversation about a seasonal theme at 3pm on first Sundays.

Special Services

Liturgical Year Services

The Christian calendar has several special services throughout the year.

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, a service we share with our friends up the street at Divinity Lutheran Church. We also share Holy Week mid-week services with Divinity Lutheran Church.

On Christmas Eve, we will gather at 4pm for an intergenerational candlelight and storytelling service to remember the birth of Jesus.

Weddings, Funerals, and other services

Our space is available for use by congregants, or for rent by the community for weddings, funerals, and other gatherings and services (e.g. Transgender Naming Services, community events or lectures, concerts). Please contact Liz in the office for more information.
