Staff and Leadership

  • Pastor

McKenna (she/her) is a queer and feminist pastor who comes to us from a call on the staff of the Presbytery of Baltimore. She is a writer and a teacher, and brings her love of modern and postmodern theologies of embodiment (and a love of audience participation) to the pulpit with her.

She and her partner (also a Presbyterian pastor) live in Baltimore City with a backyard garden and two mischievous cats.

  • Our Church Council

In the Presbyterian tradition, the session is made of lay leaders called “Ruling Elders” who are ordained into leadership. Our session leads the congregation, stewards its resources, supports staff, and discerns how to best live out our mission.

    Current Clerk: Carol Mason (she/her)

  • Parish Associate

Nicole (she/her) is an ordained pastor serving out her call to the academy at Loyola University. She is affiliated with MPC and serves, preaches, and teaches here when she’s not covering the pulpit at other churches in the presbytery. Ask her about women and Medieval Church history and theology!

  • Director of Music Ministry

Cassidy (she/her) brings her rich experience of church music leadership and her degree from Towson University to Sunday morning worship. Each Sunday, she leads us in song and shares her love of music with us!

  • Church Administrator

Liz (she/her) is your go-to person in the front office! Before joining our team, she was the administrator for The Center in the presbytery office, and ran the South Baltimore Food Bank. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet one of her two sweet dogs in the office when you visit.

  • Each Sunday, a member of the ASL interpreter team join our worship. Whether they join us virtually or in person, they are visible in the sanctuary and on zoom.

For more information, reach out to Pastor McKenna.

  • The Ministry Coordinators help us live out our values and mission in the church and in the community. They maintain community partnerships, steward our environmental resources (like our forest and apiary!), and more.
