Welcome to Maryland
Presbyterian Church The Mission of Maryland Presbyterian Church
is to be a
Welcoming Progressive Faith Community
Nurturing Inquisitive Christians for Life and Service in the
Twenty-first Century.
And we invite you to join us. Following the links to the

April is Earth
Month
During the Earth Day Sunday
service on April 20, 2008, members of Maryland Presbyterian Church
signed a Covenant to Enjoy and Care for Earth Community. This
document had been developed by members of the congregation over
several months in a process that included representatives from every
interest group or committee. It expresses our spiritual conviction
of the unity of all creation and formalizes our intent to live up to
our core value of Stewardship of the Environment in our corporate
and individual lives and in the wider community.
Read it here.
Adult Forums on the Environment
On
Sunday May
4th, at 9:30AM, the Adult Forum features
Professor William P. Blair, addressing the subject, Global
Warming: Spreading the Word and Motivating Change.
Professor Blair is a lecturer in the Department of Physics and
Astronomy at the Johns Hopkins University.
Then on Sunday May 11th, we feature another environmental subject
when Angela Smith from the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future
introduces her topic: Eating as an Environmental Act.
All are invited.
Beautify Your Spot on Earth
with Begonias,
Impatiens,
Marigolds,
Geraniums and many others.
On May 10th, MPC will conduct a Plant Sale to help children in our
sister parish in El Salvador go back to school. Preorder your
plants and pick them up on that Saturday or on Sunday the 11th,
Mother's Day. A great idea for a gift for your mother. Order forms
are available at the church.
