We love our youngest friends at MPC and are thrilled to welcome new families with young ones this past year. We are looking forward to having more opportunities to gather.
We’re also excited to share that Faith and Ashland Pres., who come to kickball, would like to explore starting a progressive, LGBTQ+ affirming youth group and confirmation class for our middle and high school students! We will share more information soon about how to be a part of this exciting ministry.
On Saturday, June 19th from 10:00 AM-Noon, we will gather for a Prayer & Play Day, outside at our Church Grounds. We will have crafts, games, and prayer stations
For our Drive-In Worship Services (which will now expand to the first and third Sunday of each month!), we’re inviting you to sit outside if you’d like. We’ll have portable
radio speakers you can use to hear the service. We ask that you space out from other households and wear a mask so we can sing together. You can bring a picnic basket, lawn
chairs, whatever makes you feel comfortable, and sit out on the grass. We’re now able to have children’s’ chats under the trees during worship. If you feel more comfortable, children can participate from your car. It will be lovely to be together safely outside, or in our cars, if the heat is too much, or the cicadas too loud. As always we will continue to broadcast these services on Facebook and Zoom so everyone can participate. As we look towards September, we are hoping that we will be able to regather inside for worship. If that is possible, I will be teaching Sunday School with our children for the first part of worship, and then returning to the sanctuary to preach. If you would like to help with Sunday School, please contact me. You would be asked to come up to the children’s room and play, and then help lead our children back into the sanctuary for the sermon. This ministry is made possible by your offerings, and we are so grateful for your support. If you would like to make an additional gift you can write a check or donate online and mark it for Intergeneratiional Ministry.
