With the CDC’s updates to their recommendations for COVID precautions, our Session has updated our procedures. Masks will continue to be required during worship so we can sing, but we get to add back some parts of our community life. For example, when transmission is low, we can have hospitality and a coffee hour after worship, along with having communion by intinction (ripping off bread and dipping it in the cup). We will always have alternatives for folks, like prepackaged communion kits that you can eat in worship or take to go, so that all are welcome. Here are our full guidelines. Our clerk will be checking the CDC’s warning levels, which can be found at
As an act of care for the most vulnerable among us, we are recommending masks be worn during worship, and still requiring them during singing. If you’re sniffling or getting over a cold, and want to worship in person, please wear your mask at all times.
*Singing does project more spores into the air, so masks are strongly recommended to protect the children who aren’t vaccinated and the immune-compromised.
