Sunday Brew…Where study becomes adventure for mind and spirit
A forum for thoughts ideas, and the probing of questions about God and life that are bubbling up in our 21st century world. Jocelyn McKeon and Darrell Wheeler serve as the facilitators and ‘tour guides’ for each of the following “brews” which are held on the first three Sundays of each month:
Theology and Coffee Meeting the first Sunday of the month at 9:30, T&C provides a forum for theological exploration through thoughtful reading and conversation. Beginning from a Christian perspective it may include comparative religion and interfaith dialogue. Curiosity and courageous questioning are encouraged. Currently, we’ll be discussing Abraham
Sojourner Sundays Meets on select Sundays. It provides a forum for participants to discuss current issues from a theological perspective. Each meeting will be devoted to an issue, article, video, etc. chosen by participants. Our current thought is that we may read articles from publications such as “Sojourners” or “Christian Century” or listen to and discuss episodes of Krista Tippett’s “On Being.”
The Faith Journey Group
Has been and continues to be a focal point for our on-going theological explorations. Discussion usually centers on a book by a contemporary theologian which leads to lively and creative exchanges. The group meets monthly in the homes of group members (or the fellowship room at church if there is a video presentation). Always the second Sunday evening of the month.
